Remind yourself;

1. The body won’t go where the mind hasn’t been.

Before your body can create healthy habits that stick your mind has to have already imagined your success. You MUST believe that you’re the kind of person that takes care of your body, saves money or works out. Without this belief, you can only accomplish short term change.

2. Consistency over Intensity

Humans aren’t great at being perfect. Therefore, you MUST set yourself up for success by building a plan that is do-able. Even though we’d like to have quick results, long lasting change comes from small consistent behaviors.

3. Be Curious over Critical

Change takes practice and we just won’t follow through perfectly. Therefore, when we fall off plan or make a mistake, it’s way more productive to get curious about what happened rather than critical. When we beat ourselves up we’re more likely to decide, “This is too hard. I’ll never figure this out!” And then we quit!
